Oooh . . . dramatic blog title Robin.
The title isn’t exactly true. I am ready to throw WordPress and my computer out the window, but the real reason you haven’t see me around lately is I am in Portland visiting a gaggle of family members. Tomorrow I move on to Boise to spend four days with our youngest daughter. Can’t wait.
I thought I would be able to keep up with you all while on this trip, but HA! Blogging takes low priority when surrounded by family, food, and 90-year-old parents who can’t hear a darn thing.
What a wild ride the last week has been. Between the WordPress “comment-follow” and other problems, and the world deciding I am nothing but mere Spam, my forced break from blogging is a welcome relief.
I’ll be back next week and catch up with you then. That is, if WordPress has cleaned up its act. Miss you all!

Okay, I just left several comments on different posts in your blog. They were posted for about a second and then disappeared.

I just looked and they are showing up. And, I am getting these emails saying you commented. Do you still not see them?

The last comment I left was in your post about “like.” I can’t find it now. I can’t even find out how I got to the beginning of your blog, but the comments that began not to show up were in about 13 blog posts, I think starting with the one about “excellent” and “excrement.” If those comments around there and afterwards are showing up, then all is well. I’ll be back, though. I like to camp.

I guess I’m going to have to camp out here and read some more to find out what wordpress problems you’re having.

Nope. Just discovered they are NOT resolved.

Seriously! I am waiting for my daughter to pick me up and have a sec to see if it is still a problem (me being spam to the world) and it appears to be the case. Argh! Thanks for hanging with me.

Holds onto your ankles. Don’t go. I promise I’ll do the washing up.

Well in THAT case, I’ll stick around. At least for a bit longer. I hate to whine, but . . .

Hi,
I hope you have a fantastic time, it is great when you can catch up with friends and family, and it is the best time for a break as far as the blogosphere goes, I have had to revive some of my regular readers out of the spam box as well, truly unbelievable.

Sadly, I am comforted in that I am not the only one marked spam. It is a good time for a break but all the backlog of emails to comment on has me panicky!

Have a great visit, and hopefully things will straighten out with WordPress. Maybe starting a new second blog wouldn’t be a bad idea….? But they should be helping you, even if you haven’t paid for any upgrades! 😦

As far as I can tell, no one from WordPress has responded to my problem. Thank goodness I am distracted by all the fun we are having here.

Have a good visit. A change is as good as a rest but visiting family is better.

What a mess, eh? Hope to be back amongst the living soon.

You had me worried. I was going to chase after you with a wooden spoon. Have a great time with family and food, it’s the best combination. 🙂

That made me laugh. And boy, did I need that. Technology is hell when it doesn’t work!

Forget about it… go have fun, take a break… we’ll still be here 🙂 And you will come back inspired, I’m certain.
robincoyle said:
I hope that is the case. WordPress has thrown cold water on my blog motivation, that is for sure.

Good to hear from you, Robin. I did find you in my spam box, which is just not right!!! 😦
Sounds like you are having a wonderful time, excellent! 🙂 Stay safe, have fun.

I am still in spam?!? WTF?

(Isn’t if funny how blogging takes over your life)
Enjoy your much deserved break!

I have anxiety over how many blogs I can’t read right now and I worry about how many sweet people I follow that think I jumped ship. But ~ i think the break will be good. Too much frustration and the family is central right now.

I felt the same way when I was gone for a week!
I had over two hundred e-mails when I got back and sat up night after night trying to read through them all!
Sometimes I feel as if its becoming an obsession. It’s good to hear I’m not alone…
