That is an interesting observation. Do you know if any research has been done on it? I do know that my 89 year old father reads constantly and has remained pretty sharp even though the family has a history of Alzheimers. Has she always read a lot?
As for the bottle of scotch, with everything you and your family has been through this year, you are entitled! Stay strong.
Wow, Robin, what a heartbreaking yet uplifting story. Do therapists give Alzheimer’s patients things to read as part of their therapy? You may be on to something. My heart goes out to you and your family. I hope your parents get to be with each other soon. If your dad gets better, can he live with your mom?
